Zacqulynn Kinney, a Shreveport native, has been a hairstylist for over fifteen years. She obtained her license in 2004 after graduating from beauty school in Shreveport, Louisiana. Zacqulynn has been interested in working with hair since high school. She decided she wanted to style hair and do hair extensions, because it is something she loves. She has always done her own hair, and she decided she didn’t want to just do that for herself – she wants to make other people look good, too. She opened Queens of Hair Salon in 2008, changing the name to Hair Extension Studio in 2010, and since then, she has more than earned the title “Queen of Hair Extensions.” Styling hair is something she wants to do the rest of her life.

Zacqulynn believes all of her customers are 10s; that is, they are beautiful inside and out and perfect on that scale of 1-10. Because of this, she does everything she can to make sure she provides her clients the best and most up-to-date services possible.

Zacqulynn has also mastered twenty-one different hair extension techniques; only eight others in the country know more hair extensions techniques. “I have a passion about what I’m doing. I make sure braids are very thin and small to make extensions look as natural as possible. Others don’t do that,” Zacqulynn said of her work. Zacqulynn feels that women should get compliments on their hair and not on their extensions. Currently, Zacqulynn uses the top hair extension technique in the country, the Hairdreams technique. No one else in the area uses this technique.

In addition to learning the numerous techniques she uses for her clients, she has also had her own hair line was called –Sew-In Love Extensions – since 2009 but has changed due to variety of different types of hair extensions she now offers. The new hair extensions line is called "Textures" offering 9 different textures from 2A -4C. The hair in her line comes directly from donors in India, Brazil, and Malaysia. unlike other hair lines, "Textures" IS 100% virgin hair. Where store-bought hair lasts about one to 2 months. By FDA regulations, hair extensions only has to be 10% human hair to be labeled as 100% human hair. , Textures can last for a year or longer! Because it's all raw virgin hair!
